Since 2005 NLT has been proud to hold a Youth Summer Work Shop for grades 1-12. The children who participate in these work shops are involved in all aspects of theatre including acting, lights, sound, makeup, wardrobe, props and backstage. These workshops have received partial funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. In the past Summer Youth Workshops have had productions that have included Bugsy Malone, The Hobbit, Into the Woods, Grease, Once On This Island and The Wizard of Oz.
