Florence Hargis has been a Natchez resident for 20 years.  A native of Houston, she is a graduate of Alcorn State University, where she received her Masters degree in Biology.  Florence worked as a restaurant inspector and training officer for the Mississippi Health Department for 12 years and now works for the State of Louisiana as a restaurant inspector for Catahoula parish. The mother of three children, Florence is a member of Community Chapel Church of God.  She is the owner of P.M.S., a landscape and plant maintenance service.  She also shows and raises Selkirk Rex Cats.  Florence has appeared in Natchez Little Theatre productions of The Women, Southern Exposure, The Matchmaker and Auntie Mame.
