| Leon Hollins is a
photographer & graphic designer who engages youth and adults in
photography projects through workshops, seminars and residencies. A
current project of Mr. Hollins is documenting the cultural heritage
of Natchez into a photographic journal.
Leon studied photography & graphic design in Los Angeles
(U.C.L.A., Los Angeles Trac Tech, Pasadena Art Design Center).
Photography work covers photojournalism, fine art, &
advertising. His work has appeared in newpapers globally, from Los
Angeles Times, Hollywood Variety, L.A. Herald Examiner to the DRUM
in Nigeria. Magazine work: from Conde' Nast, Motor Trend,
(inflight magazine) Singapore Air to corporate annuals. Leon has
worked for 'news gathering' organizations... Associated Press,
United Press International, and Agence Frrench Presse. He has
worked for a various newspapers (L.A. Times, L.A. Herald Examiner,
L.A. Wave) in Southern California and Mississippi.
Graphic Design work has really rounded Leon's knowledge of
graphics; he has hands-on experience with murals, custom automobiles
to CD covers; it's all
art. |
